Breast Augmentation

Breast augmentation surgery involves using breast implants or fat, referred to as fat transfer breast augmentation, to increase the size of your breasts or restore breast volume that has been lost after weight reduction or pregnancy. Breast augmentation is clinically referred to as augmentation mammaplasty. One of the benefits of breast augmentation is to enhance your self-image and self-confidence.

Breast Lift

A breast lift, also known as mastopexy, raises the breasts by removing excess skin and tightening the surrounding tissue to reshape and support the new breast contour. New statistics from the American Society of Plastic Surgeons show breast lifts have grown 70% since 2000, out-pacing breast implants 2-to-1. A woman’s breasts often change over time, losing their youthful shape and firmness. These changes and loss of skin elasticity can result from:

  • • Pregnancy
  • • Breastfeeding
  • • Weight fluctuations
  • • Aging
  • • Gravity
  • • Heredity

A breast lift can rejuvenate your figure with a breast profile that is more youthful and uplifted.

Breast Reconstruction

Breast reconstruction is achieved through several plastic surgery techniques that attempt to restore a breast to near normal shape, appearance and size following mastectomy. A note about symmetry: If only one breast needs reconstruction, then a breast lift, breast reduction or breast augmentation may be recommended for the opposite breast to improve symmetry of the size and position of both breasts.

Breast Reduction

Breast reduction (a.k.a. reduction mammaplasty) is the surgical procedure to reduce the size of large or sagging breasts. Breast reduction surgery will re-establish a functional bust that is proportionate to a woman's body. The critical corrective consideration in a breast reduction is the nipple-areola complex, to ensure the functional sensitivity and lactational capability of the breasts.

Men may also need breast reduction, as a result of gynecomastia. This is a condition of over-developed or enlarged breasts in men that can occur at any age.
